NAMPA, IDAHO – Seattle U track and field heads to the Western Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships this week, capping off an impressive indoor season that included three new school records, one facility record, 46 new personal records and two WAC Track Athletes of the Week in senior Michelle Newblom and junior Nathan Pixler.

This year's WAC Championships will take place from Feb. 28-29 at the Ford Idaho Center in Nampa, Idaho, with events starting at 8:00 a.m. PT each day. Live stats and streaming links are available on the WAC's Indoor Championship Central.

For the first time in Head Coach Kelly Sullivan's tenure, a Redhawk will be entering the men's heptathlon, which combines scores from seven total events to rank each competitor. Sophomore Lucas Milne will be taking on the 60m dash, long jump, shot put and high jump on Friday, then finishing off with the 60m hurdles, pole vault and 1k run on Saturday.

Three program record-setters will be competing in their respective events at the championships. Newblom enters the 60m hurdles field, having broken her own indoor record twice this season. Pixler will race in the 800m run, a week after breaking his own indoor record in the event. Sophomore Tallia Sova is set to compete in the shot put after breaking the school's three-year-old record in the event. Sophomore Regie Grady set a school record in the 200m dash three weeks prior, but will race in the 400m dash after posting the WAC's sixth-best mark of the season.

"The teams and staff are all very excited for the next two days," said Sullivan. "We expect a lot of great things to happen."
