Redhawks Well Represented in Spring Academic All-WAC
ARLINGTON, TX - Seattle U student athletes were well represented for Academic All-WAC in the 2023 Spring quarter, with 68 Redhawks being named across eight spring sports. In addition, there were 27 student athletes named from fall and winter sports who were either freshman or transfer students. The 95 total eclipses last year's 82 following the spring quarter.
Three Men's Tennis Athletes Earn CSCAA All-Academic Awards
SEATTLE, Wash. - Three of Seattle University men's tennis athletes have been rewarded with 2022-23 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Awards, the association released Tuesday.
Men's Tennis Ends Season vs. UTRGV
ARLINGTON, Texas. - Seattle U men's tennis faced off against UTRGV in the first round of the WAC Championships, hosted by UT Arlington. The Redhawks got the doubles point, but could not continue the momentum in singles, as the Vaqueros win the matchup, 4-2.

SEATTLE, Wash. - Seattle U men's tennis hosted UT Arlington at the Amy Yee Tennis Center. Prior to the match, the men's team honored Clement Hamel in his final home match with the Redhawks.
Men's Tennis Dominate UTRGV
SEATTLE, Wash. - Seattle U men's tennis hosted their first dual match of the weekend against UTRGV. The Redhawks caught fire in doubles and kept it going into singles, as the Redhawks took home the win in a score of 5-2.
Men's Tennis Drops Close Match to Lopes
SEATTLE, Wash. - Seattle U men's tennis played their first home match of the season, as they hosted the Grand Canyon Lopes at the Amy Yee Tennis Center. The match was very close with the Redhawks even securing the doubles point, but the Lopes would end up taking the 3-4 win.

ABILENE, Texas. - Seattle U men's tennis continued their weekend travel trip in Abilene, Texas to battle against Abilene Christian. The match was very close, but the Wildcats would take the win, 3-4.
Men’s Tennis Win WAC Opener vs NMSU
LAS CRUSES, N. Mex. - Seattle U men's tennis opened up WAC play in Las Cruses, New Mexico when they took on New Mexico State in a dual match. The Redhawks were able to start off WAC play with a solid win, as the Redhawks defeated the Aggies, 4-3.
Men's Tennis Defeats Colorado College
MERCER ISLAND, Wash. - Seattle U men's tennis took on Colorado College in a dual match at the Mercer Island Country Club in Mercer Island, Washington. The Redhawks dominated in doubles and continued the stellar play into singles, as they would defeat the Tigers, 6-1.
Men's Tennis Trounce Vikings
PORTLAND, Ore. - Seattle U men's tennis traveled down to Portland, Oregon for a dual match against Portland State. The Redhawks caught fire in doubles, and kept it going into singles, defeating the Vikings, 5-2.
Hamel, Kiselkov Win WAC Doubles Player of the Week
SEATTLE, Wash. - Veselin Kiselkov and Clement Hamel have been named the Western Athletic Conference Doubles Players of the Week for the week ending March 9.

NEWBURG, Ore. - Seattle U men's tennis traveled down to Newburg, Oregon to take on George Fox in a dual match. The Redhawks started strong in doubles play, and kept the momentum rolling, as they defeated the Bruins 6-1.

EUGENE, Ore. - Seattle U men's tennis faced off against Santa Clara in a dual match, taking place at the Student Tennis Center on the University of Oregon's campus. The Redhawks unfortunately would drop the match in a score of 0-4.
Men's Tennis Completes Travel Trip Vs. Lewis-Clark State and Idaho
LEWISTON, Ida. - Seattle U men's tennis traveled east this weekend to take on Lewis and Clark State in Lewiston, Idaho on January 28. They also traveled to Moscow, Idaho to take on the University of Idaho on January 29. Both matches had great moments for the Redhawks, highlighted by the men being able to secure the first win of the 2023 season.

SPOKANE, Wash. - Seattle U men's tennis finished play at the ITA Northwest Regionals, hosted by Gonzaga, in Spokane, Washington, on Saturday. The highlight of the tournament was graduate student Clement Hamel reaching the quarterfinal round in singles play, becoming the first Redhawk ever to do so.

SPOKANE, Wash. - Seattle U men's tennis wrapped up play on the second day of the ITA Regionals Friday with graduate student Clement Hamel becoming the first Redhawk in program history to advance to the singles quarterfinal round in this tournament. All matches took place at the Stevens Center on the campus of Gonzaga University.
