SEATTLE, Wash. - Seattle U men's tennis hosted UT Arlington at the Amy Yee Tennis Center. Prior to the match, the men's team honored Clement Hamel in his final home match with the Redhawks.
DOUBLES:
- Clement Hamel and Veselin Kiselkov matched up against Anton Shepp and Solano Caffarena, but would be defeated 2-6
- Yu Han Hsieh and Filip Stipic had a competitive match against Joan Torres Espinosa and Lachlan Robertson, with the Redhawk duo pulling off a close win against the Maverick pair, 7-5
- Michael Frank and Julian Worn battled hard against Santiago Giamichelle and Dante Teramo for the team point. The Redhawk duo would come up just short, dropping the matchup 6-7, with the doubles point going to the Mavericks.
SINGLES:
- Clement Hamel and Anton Shepp were matched up with each other, but Hamel would drop the match 3-6, 5-7
- Filip Stipic came up just short against Santiago Giamichelle, losing the match 3-6, 4-6
- Michael Frank had a tough match against Joan Torres Espinosa, losing the match 4-6, 1-6
- Yu Han Hsieh put up a competitive effort against Dante Teramo, but would be defeated 4-6, 5-7
- Veselin Kiselkov took his match against Solano Caffarena to three sets, unfortunately Kiselkov would be defeated 6-3, 2-6, 1-6
- Julian Worn and Lachlan Robertson had a heated matchup that went to three sets. Worn pulled off the victory, winning the match 7-5, 5-7, 10-5
The men will take two weeks to regroup before heading into postseason action at the WAC Championships
