UNIVERSITY PLACE, WASH. – Seattle U cross country will kick off their third meet of the season on Saturday, the John Payne/Curtis Invitational, at Chambers Bay. The women’s Sundodger 5k race will begin at 3:00 p.m. PT and the men’s 8k race kicks off at 3:30 p.m.
The women’s field consists of Central Washington, MacEwan, Olympic College, Saint Martin’s, and Seattle U. The men’s entries include runners from Central Washington, Olympic College, Saint Martin’s, Seattle Pacific, Seattle U, and Washington. Washington’s men were ranked third in the latest national poll from the US Track and Field and Cross Country Association (USTFCCCA).
The following runners will compete for Seattle U:
WOMEN
- Seniors Thea Foulk, Shannan Higgins, Siobhan Rubio and Olivia Stein
- Juniors Megan Delorey, Rachel Kastama and Elle Stein
- Sophomores Marie-Therese Chahrouri, Courtney Gelmini, Ellie Postma and Abby Smith
- Freshmen Delaney Griffin, Emily Harris and Grace Much
MEN
- Seniors Andrew Ayers and Blake Delaney
- Juniors Hamza Ali, Kyle Kennedy and Nathan Pixler
- Sophomores Stephen Crocker, Ansel Pendley-Griffin and Lance Slichko
- Freshman Gus Harquail
In the Redhawks’ last two meets, Olivia Stein and Nathan Pixler were the top finishers for the women’s and men’s squads, respectively.
