Christopher Fussell (Las Vegas, Nev.) posted one of the top performances of the day, winning his heat and finishing second overall in the 200 meter dash with a time of 23.64 seconds. In the same event, Jabari Fraser (Bethesda, Md.) finished eighth overall with a time of 25.07 seconds, and Robert Poshusta (Bremerton, Wash.) finished 11th in 25.69 seconds.
In the men's 800 meter run, Kelton Sears (Maple Valley, Wash.) finished in second place with a time of 2:00.38, followed closely by Chris Auld (Eugene, Ore.) in third place in 2:00.45. Nick Cannata-Bowman (San Francisco, Calif.) placed fifth overall with a time of 2:03.10 and Graham Miller (Spokane, Wash.) finished in seventh place in 2:03.61.
Michael Van Nuland (Newcastle, Wash.) finished third in the one mile run with a time of 4:32.18, with Dan Auld (Eugene, Ore.) right behind him in fourth place in 4:34.37. In the 3000 meter run, Alec Adams (Woodway, Wash.) finished in fourth place with a time of 9:27.55, followed by Rustin Winger (Tracyton, Wash.) in eighth place in 9:37.50.
Keenan Clinch (Sammamish, Wash.) finished in eighth place overall in the 400 meter dash with a time of 54.34 seconds. Michael Cardinal (Lafayette, Colo.) competed in the high jump, clearing a height of 5'8.5" (1.74 meters) for a sixth-place finish.
On the women's side, Meeghan Bergmann (Portland, Ore.) won her heat and finished second overall in the 400 meter dash with a time of 61.70 seconds. Clare Obradovich (Tigard, Ore.) earned a third-place finish in the 800 meter run after crossing the finish line with a time of 2:30.55.
In the distance events, Rachel Yorkston (Bellingham, Wash.) finished in sixth place in the 3000 meter run with a time of 10:51.43. In the one mile run, Allison Prather (Carpinteria, Calif.) posted a time of 5:36.88 for an 11th-place finish, followed by Lauren Hammerle (Seattle, Wash.) in 12th place in 5:38.57 and Greta Stickney (Poulsbo, Wash.) in 14th place with a time of 5:42.84.
Alyssa Lout (Tempe, Ariz.) finished eighth overall in the 200 meter dash with a time of 28.27 seconds. Kaytie Bateman (Chehalis, Wash.) and Navotni Minter (Edmond, Okla.) each won their 200 meter dash heats, finishing 10th and 11th overall with times of 29.20 and 29.22 seconds, respectively.
In the women's high jump, Mara Becker (Fairbanks, Alaska) cleared a height of 4'11.75" (1.52 meters) for a sixth place finish, while Brittany Philio (Renton, Wash.) finished in seventh place after clearing a height of 4'9.75" (1.47 meters).
It is expected that at least the majority of the SeattleU track and field team will next compete at the UW Indoor Open next Sunday, Feb. 14, beginning at 8 a.m.
