2009-10 Track & Field: At Willamette Invitational, competed in 10000 Meter Run, placed 10th with a time of 39:34.53 ... at Duane Hartman Invitational, competed in 5000 Meter Run, placed 12th with a time of 18:33.46 ... at Great West Conference Outdoor Championships, competed in 5000 Meter Run, placed 13th with a time of 18:57.40.
2009 Cross Country: Ran a 24:41 at the West Coast Preview 6K event on Sept. 11th, a 24:01 at Sundodger Sept. 19th, and a 24:45 at the Emerald City Invite Oct. 3rd. Led the Redhawks with a time of 19:22 at the Mike Hodges Invitational on Oct. 16th. Completed the Great West Conference Championships with a time of 25:00.33 on Oct. 31.
2008-2009 Indoor Track and Field: Yorkston ran the Mile with a 5th place time of 5:49.4 at the Univeristy of Portland Indoor on Feb. 6th.
2008 Cross Country: Rachel's best performances of the season came at the Roy Griak Invitational, where she finished in 117th place with a time of 23:45.2, and at the Beaver Classic, where she crossed the finish line in 55th place with a time of 23:42. She also finished in 32nd place at the Cascade Conference Preview with a time of 19:13.06 and in 40th place at the Pier Park Preview in 24:59.16.
2007 Cross Country: Yorkston was one of the team's top runners throughout the season, beginning with an 11th place finish at the Emerald City Invitational in 24:56.14. Her season culminated with a 29th place finish at the NCAA West Regionals in 21:52, by far the best time during her collegiate career. Yorkston earned three top-25 finishes during the season, including a 15th place finish at the Western Washington Invitational (23:56.3), an 18th place finish at the GNAC Championships (23:04), and a 24th place finish at the Pier Park Preview (23:28). She also competed in the Charles Bowles Invitational, finishing 35th with a time of 18:45.05. She earned All-Academic honors from both the GNAC and the USTFCCCA.
2006 Cross Country: Before missing the rest of the season with an injury, Rachel finished in 58th place at the Sundodger Invitational in a time of 23:32. She began her collegiate running career with a tenth place finish at the Emerald City Invitational with a time of 24:35.64.
High School: Rachel showed steady improvement during her running career at Bellingham High School, earning the Most Improved and Most Inspirational Awards as well as being named captain during her time on the cross country team. She finished 44th in the state championships in 2003. In 2005, she ran seventh in the league meet, ninth at the district championships, and 27th in the state finals. Her personal bests are: 2:34 for 800 meters, 5:28 for 1600 meters, 11:42 for 3200 meters, and 19:32 for 5000 meters.
Personal: Rachel is the daughter of David and Tammy Yorkston. She is majoring is nursing at Seattle University.
