SEATTLE – Facing harsh conditions in their final final competition of the fall season, Seattle University women's rowing turned in a trio of solid performances Sunday morning at the Head of the Lake regatta on Lake Washington.

"All three of our boats raced well in very tough conditions and a shortened course," said Head Coach Jenny Park. "We're looking forward to getting into winter training now and setting up a solid base to take into spring competition."

The Redhawks competing in the Varsity 8+, 3V8+ and Varsity 4+. All races were originally scheduled for 5K in distance, but were shortened to 3,200m due to high winds and low temperatures.

Seattle U's V8+ finished in 12:59.845 amongst a full field of Pacific Northwest competitors. In a head-to-head race with Gonzaga in the 3V8+, the Redhawks finished runner up in 14:39.202. The Redhawks took third in the Varsity 4+, crossing the finish in 15:11.236.

Competition will resume for the Redhawks after the winter break.
