TOURNAMENT PREVIEW: Cross Country at Lewis & Clark Invite

ESTACADA, Ore. – Seattle U cross country will head to Estacada, Ore., on Saturday to compete in the Lewis & Clark Invite at the Milo McIver State Park. The men's 8k race will begin at 10:30 a.m., while the women's 6k race will start at 11:15 a.m.

ESTACADA, Ore. – Seattle U cross country will head to Estacada, Ore., on Saturday to compete in the Lewis & Clark Invite at the Milo McIver State Park. The men's 8k race will begin at 10:30 a.m., while the women's 6k race will start at 11:15 a.m.
 
Both the men's and women's races are expecting around 250-300 entrants per field, with 31 colleges participating. Notable schools that will have athletes competing are Oregon, Oregon State, Portland and Portland State. This projects to be one of the largest collegiate XC meets in the country this season.
 
Seattle U's last race, The Charles Bowles Invitational, had three Redhawks finish in the top-10. Redshirt sophomore Rowan Cuadrado and sophomore Emily Harris finished with times of 18:27.7 and 18:28.2 in the women's 5k, while freshman Giuliano Scasso continued his strong first year with a time of 24:52.5 in the men's 8k race.
 
The entries for Saturday's race are as follows:

  • Redshirt sophomores Rowan Cuadrado, Grace Much, Fiona O'Leary, Ellie Postma and Abby Smith
  • Sophomores Marie-Therese Chahrouri and Emily Harris
  • Redshirt freshman Maya McCabe
  • Freshman Lilianne Hargreaves and McKenna White
MEN
  • Redshirt juniors Hamza Ali, Stephen Crocker, James Parker, and Ansel Pendley-Griffin
  • Redshirt freshman Jay Grant and Lance Mason
  • Freshman Matthew Holme, Logan Miller and Giuliano Scasso
