Two school records and several solid performances helped the Seattle University track and field team contribute to an overall win by the state of Washington over the team representing Oregon, Montana, and Idaho at the third annual Northwest Scoring Clash Saturday at Spokane Falls Community College.

Zach Stanfield finally broke through in the 100 meter dash, setting a new school record with a time of 10.66 seconds, just 1/100th of a second behind Central Washington's Anthony Wright for the heat and overall event victory. He defeated Wright in the 200 meter dash, finishing first overall after posting a time of 21.82 seconds.

The other SeattleU record to fall came in the women's 4x400 meter relay, as Meeghan Bergmann, Rachel Purcell, Elena Collins, and Nicole Waters cut over a second off the previous mark with a time of 4:01.97, good enough for a fourth-place finish.

Dylan Burnett finished seventh in the javelin throw with a top toss of 54.38 meters (178' 5"). The men's 4x400 meter relay quartet of Tom Mezzera, Jabari Fraser, Keenan Clinch, and Dan Auld also finished in seventh place with a time of 3:30.54.
