The Seattle University men’s swim team won four events and used its depth to defeat Simon Fraser, 109-88, while the women’s swim team earned two event victories but lost to the Clan, 116-82, Saturday afternoon at the Savage Swimming Pool.

Jakub Jiracek (, ) led the men’s team with two victories, winning the 200 meter individual medley in 2:07.41 and the 100 meter breaststroke in 1:04.24. Jiracek also teamed with Bryson Chiu (, ), Chris Coley (, ), and Bryant Bevers () for a second place finish in the 200 meter medley relay in 1:47.63.

Individually, Chiu earned a first-place finish in the 100 meter backstroke in 1:00.52 and a second-place finish in the 200 meter individual medley in 2:13.25. Gordon Smith () also picked up a first and a second place finish, winning the 200 meter freestyle in 1:56.39 and finishing a close second in the 400 meter freestyle in 4:05.88.

On the women’s side, Alex Weiss (, ) won the 800 meter freestyle in 9:27.69, and Alison Colnon () was victorious in the 400 meter freestyle with a time of 4:41.56. Kaci Dudley () finished second in both the 200 meter individual medley in 2:31.38 and the 100 meter freestyle in 1:03.81.

Kelsey Henan (, ) finished second in the 400 meter freestyle in a time of 4:44.29, while Heather Nelson () also earned a second-place finish in the 100 meter breaststroke with a time of 1:21.73.

The swim teams will travel to Way, , to face the in their final dual meet of the regular season Thursday, Jan. 31, beginning at 12 noon.
