Bryson Chiu Season 2006-07

2009-10: At Pacific Collegiate Swim & Dive Conference Championships, won the 200 Individual Medley event with a time of 1:50.55 ... won the 100 Backstroke with a time of 50.41 ... won the 200 Breaststroke with a time of 2:01.97 ... team won the 400 Medley Relay with a time of 3:22.11 ... competed in 200 Medley Relay, team placed second with a time of 1:31.90.

2007-08: Chiu earned three All-America honors for his performances at the NCAA Division II National Championships in his second year with Seattle University. Chiu placed fourth in the 200 IM with a time of 1:51.52, earned a runner-up in the 400 medley relay with a 3:18.80, and a fifth in the 200 breast with a 2:02.61. He was also a part of the school record setting 200 medley relay team that finished with a time of 1:31.88. Chiu finished 12th in the 400 IM in a time of 4:03.22 and finished in 16th place in the the 100 back with a time of 50.99. His last event was the 200 free relay that placed 15th with a time of 1:24.65.   

2006-07: Chiu was named All-America honorable mention four times for his swims at the Division II National Championships in his first season at Seattle. He finished in 14th place in the 200 breast with a time of 2:08.60 and 13th in the 200 IM with a time of 1:54.63.  He also was a member of the 400 medley relay that won the “B” final in 3:23.23 for ninth place swimming the backstroke and a member of the 200 free relay that finished in 11th in a time of 1:25.05. He won the 200 IM with a time of 1:53.28 at the PCSC Championships. Chiu finished fourth in the 200 backstroke at the same meet with a time of 1:55.19. Chiu had individual event wins at Cal Baptist in the 200 IM with a time of 2:00.16 and the 100 back with a time of 55.97.

High School: At Carmel High Schoo, Bryson was an All-American in the 100 backstroke (best time 52.8 seconds) and 200 individual medley (best time 1:54.4). He also qualified for Junior Nationals in the 200 breaststroke.

Personal: Bryson is the son of Barbara and Duncan Chiu. He is interested in digital design as his major at Seattle University.
