Kim Gonzalez enters her third year as an assistant coach for the Seattle University softball program. This is her second coaching stint with the Redhawks, as she was a member of the coaching staff from 2003-07. Her primary dudties at SU are as an outfield and base running coach. Gonzalez, a former standout for Seattle U, also spent two seasons from 2007-09 as an assistant coach at San Francisco State University.
As a player, she was an all-conference second team selection during her senior season in 2002. During her four year career with the Redhawks, she finished with a .292 career batting average, and amassed 122 hits and 84 runs.
Following her playing career, she was a member of the Akron Racers of the National Pro Fastpitch League, a women's professional softball league.
Gonzalez and her husband Jon have two children.
