BOISE, ID - Seattle U men's and women's swimming continued their strong performance at the NW Collegiate Invitational in Boise. The Redhawk men finished in first for the second straight day with a team score of 1548, while the women only trail the host Vandals with a second-place team score of 1058.
Danielis Kvederis broke his own school record in the 100 backstroke twice on the day. He improved on the record in the preliminaries with a time of 47.35 before cutting that down to 47.24 in the finals.
The women's 200 medley relay team of Lydia Genson, Sarah Cook, Sammy Mosier, and Mia David set the 3rd fastest time in program history with their 1:44.11 finish. Kvederis, Brendan Ryan, Cole Lanting, and Nicholas Imig automatically qualified for the NIC Championships when they placed first in the event with a time of 1:29.18.
Other improved times include Amanda Miller in the 100 fly (56.67), Brendan Ryan in the 100 breast (55.55), Nicholas Imig in the 100 breast (56.21), and Kaya Lathangue in the 100 backstroke (58.27).
