COLFAX, WA – The Seattle University Redhawks completed their second race of the season, competing in the Cougar Classic. Lilianne Hargreaves set a new personal best which landed her in the #4 spot on the all-time list (21:09.8) and Jeremy Posdon (25:20.5) had the top times for the women's and men's teams. Posdon just missed the all-time list in his first ever 8k.
"Today was solid," said head coach Jordana LeSavage. "We had some strong showings from our freshmen in their first-ever 8k. It's exciting to have five weeks to train now and get ready for the next opportunity in California."
Hargreaves finished 14th out of 150 entrants in the women's 6k. Azalea Groleau finished just behind in 18th with a time of 21:17.2.
On the men's side, both Posdon and Alex Jensen (25:57.7) finished under the 26-minute mark for the men's 8k. Jensen shaved a minute off his personal best. Parker Wagnild (27:13.7) made his season debut for the Redhawks as well.
The Redhawks will be back in Seattle for their next race. Seattle University will take part in the Emerald City Open, set for October 12 in Lower Woodland Park.
