VANCOUVER, Wash. – In a tri-meet with University of Portland and Saint Mary's, Seattle U took first in a pair of races and also claimed two runner-up finishes as the trio of schools raced on Vancouver Lake.
The Redhawks took first and second place in the varsity 4+ as the 'A' boat finished in a time of 8:42.2, followed closely by the 'B' boat, finishing in 8:57.1. The host Pilots took third in the race, finishing in 9:13.5.
Seattle U bested both Portland and Saint Mary's in the second varsity 8+, winning with a time of 7:34.9. The Redhawks settled for second in the varsity 8+ race, finishing in 7:24.4.
The squad will next head to Lake Natoma in Rancho Cordova, Calif., for the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association (WIRA) Championships on April 30-May 1.
