SEATTLE - The Seattle U Redhawks will play a rare home-and-home series this weekend, facing off with California Baptist on the road before hosting the Lancers in Seattle. The Redhawks head to Riverside, California for a Thursday, October 14 matchup with California Baptist at 7:00 pm. After that, the two teams will meet at the Redhawk Center on Saturday, October 16 at 1:00 pm. That game will be Diabetes Awareness Day for the Redhawks.

BATTLE WITH CALIFORNIA BAPTIST

The Redhawks will face California Baptist twice this weekend in a home-and-home series. Seattle U is 1-3 all-time against California Baptist, playing it twice in 2018 and twice in 2019. However, the Redhawks took the last match between the two schools, winning 3-0 at California Baptist in 2019.

KILLIN' IT

Eve Kerschenbaum reached 750 career kills last weekend, becoming just the seventh Redhawk ever with 750 or more kills. Kerschenbaum needs 15 more kills to tie Libby Graff for sixth all-time with 775. Kerschenbaum is on a pace to reach 800+ kills. She would join Cristin Richards, Kaytlyn Dill, Matea Mamic, Martina Samadan, and Sarah Jaeckel as the only Redhawks ever with 800 career kills.

POP LOCK AND BLOCK IT

Julia Queiroz now has multiple blocks in five consecutive games after recording two and four in two matches last weekend. Queiroz is just one solo block away from 30, which would tie her with Maja Stojanovic for third in Seattle U history. Only Martina Samadan (52) and Jordan Keller (35) have more solo blocks in program history. Queiroz also needs just five more total blocks to tie Janet Beckerman for sixth all-time and 14 more to tie with Jamie Mellies for fifht all-time.

CAN YOU DIG IT

Sofia Sanchez has recorded 5+ digs in each of the last four matches after recording four total digs in the first seven matches of the year. Sanchez has 33 digs in those four matches, including her first-ever double-double, with 11 kills and 13 digs against Utah Valley. Sanchez has double-digit kills twice in those four matches as well.

EZGI OZ-SSIST

Ezgi Ozkan now has double-digit assists in 15 straight matches, missing that mark only in the season opener. Ozkan record 39 assists and 27 assists in last weekend's two matches to break the 200-assist mark on the season. The 39-assist game was was just one assist away from her 11th 40+ assist game in her career and was her 22nd 30+ assist game. Ozgan also had a double-double against Dixie State, her first of the season and seventh of her career.

SIERRA THE SNIPER

Sierra Bartley hit .400 and .300 in two matches last weekend, raising her season hitting percentage to .250. Bartley has hit .250 or higher in seven matches this year. Against Utah Valley, she set a new career high with 17 kills and just three errors. It was Bartley's fifth match this season with double-digit kills and three or fewer errors. Bartley has recorded five or more errors just twice all year despite 11 matches with 20+ attacks.

BLOCK STREAK

Lauren McCabe has at least one block in nine straight matches, last going without a block on September 4 against Oklahoma. McCabe has two seven-block performances in that time and five multi-block games. McCabe is averaging 0.52 blocks per set, her third straight season averaging at least a half a block a set.
