In Flight A singles play, both Riley Newman (Whidbey Island, Wash.) and John Stormans (Olympia, Wash.) advanced as far as the quarterfinals before falling to their respective opponents from Gonzaga and Eastern Washington.
Connor Leahy (Portland, Ore.), in flight B singles, won a trio of matches to advance to the championship game but eventually fell to Idaho’s Felipe Fonseca, 6-0, 6-3.
Ian Clare (Sachse,Texas) made a run through the flight B consolation bracket to win the bracket with wins over Lewis-Clark State College’s Michael Zittekopf, 6-0, 6-1, Idaho’s Rhys Richardson, 6-3, 6-2, and Eastern Washington’s Rendell Burghart, 6-3, 6-4.
In doubles action, Leahy and Newman advanced as far as the quarterfinals in bracket play while in the doubles consolation bracket, Clare and Tanner Berkabile (Las Vegas, Nev.) won a match before falling to the eventual champions from Idaho.
