Saturday’s championship game is set for 11 a.m. while an “if necessary” game will take place at 2 p.m. if the loser of the first game suffers their first loss. The All-Tournament team will be announced following the tournament.

Seattle U 2, Bakersfield 1
Seattle U left a runner in scoring position to end the first but it would be the second inning when each team would add a run to the board. In the top of the frame, Amber Mills scored as Ashley Carter reached on a fielder’s choice. Lisa Maulden (Maple Valley, Wash.) would tie the ballgame in SU’s half of the inning on a solo leadoff home run to right field.
Bubba Morrow (Auburn, Wash.) would add a solo homer of her own, this time to left field, for what would prove to be the winning run. They left runners in scoring position to end the fourth, but could not plate any more runs.
The Roadrunners had their best chance to tie as Karsyn Guzman reached third in the sixth, but a final fly out ended their scoring opportunities.
Six different Redhawks racked up a hit, outhitting the ‘Runners 6-5, while Sydney Raeber led Bakersfield at the plate, going 2-for-3.
In the circle, Richelle Ashburn (Post Falls, Idaho) earned the win, allowing just one run on five hits while walking one and striking out three. Kelsie Monroe was handed the loss for CSUB, allowing two runs on five hits while striking out one. Lyndsay Klimenko entered in relief, giving up the final hit while walking and striking out one batter apiece.
New Mexico State 5, Seattle U 3
Malena Padilla opened the first inning for New Mexico State with a grand slam to give the Aggies an early 4-0 lead, which would prove to be the difference maker. Leaving two runners on base in the second, they would add another run in the third on an RBI single up the middle by Kelsey Dodd.
The Redhawks made a comeback attempt in the home half of the fifth inning as Isabella Geronimo (San Mateo, Calif.) drove home Brianna Guerrero (Buena Park, Calif.) with an RBI single to right field before Paige Bouska (Keizer, Ore.) followed with a 2 RBI double to right center. All runs scored with two outs, NM State was able to get the final out, halting SU’s scoring opportunities.
Bouska drove home a team-high two runs while Geronimo led SU going 2-for-4 at the plate.
In the circle, Karysta Donisthorpe earned the win allowing three runs on four hits while walking one and striking out five in the five inning outing. Celisha Walker earned her fourth save of the season.
Alyssa Reuble (Lynnwood, Wash.) suffered the loss, giving up all five runs on five hits while walking two and striking out one. Mandie Sugita (Rossmoor, Calif.) entered in relief, giving up just one hit while walking three and striking out two in five innings.
