Seattle University softball (14-28, 3-5 WAC) earned a shutout victory, 3-0, in game one and, despite tying the game, fell, 3-1, in game two in a Western Athletic Conference doubleheader versus Kansas City (13-29, 3-5 WAC).

“Our pitchers threw well in both games, especially Lindsay Davis getting the shutout in game one,” said head coach Dan Powers, “but there were a couple defensive miscues that cost us the second game today. We had a lot of hitting, just not timely hitting in game two. We’re looking forward to getting after it tomorrow and winning the series at home.”

Seattle U and Kansas City complete the series on Saturday, Apr. 12 at 2 p.m., which will be the team’s annual Pink Game to raise money for Susan G. Komen. A raffle and photo booth will be among the day’s activities and fans are encouraged to wear pink to the game.
