The Redhawks earned the doubles point, as Kevin Lynch (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and Jason Bediones (Kent, Wash.) sealed the first point at No. 1 doubles with a 8-7(7-5), as the match went to a tiebreaker.
Riley Newman (Whidbey Island, Wash.) and Zach Kosanke (Bellevue, Wash.) would take a 3-0 lead for SU at No. 6 and No. 3 singles with the first two matches finished.
The Bengals would narrow the deficit, 3-2, as Jamey Swiggart and Krzysztof Stempien earned wins in the first two singles spots, but Connor Leahy (Portland, Ore.) and Ian Clare (Sachse, Texas) would seal the Redhawk victory with two final singles wins.
SU returns to Seattle to host Idaho on Friday, Mar. 28 in a Western Athletic Conference competition at Sand Point Tennis Center.
