In doubles play, Fredrik Peterson/Sean Levesque of USU earned the first doubles win before Kevin Lynch (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and Jason Bediones (Kent, Wash.) earned a 6-5 win at No. 1 doubles. Utah State earned the doubles point as Matt Sweet/Sebastian Schneider came away with the final victory at No. 2 doubles.
Down 1-0, Will Topp (Olympia, Wash.) defeated Marcus Fritz at No. 2 singles, 6-2, 6-3, to tie the score, but the Aggies answered back with four straight singles victories to lead, 5-1.
Connor Leahy (Portland, Ore.) defeated Connor Wearmouth, 3-6, 6-1, 10-1, at No. 6 singles but it wasn’t enough to make a comeback as the Redhawks fell, 5-2.
Seattle U continues competition on the weekend at Utah on Saturday, Feb. 8 at 5 p.m. and Weber State on Sunday, Feb. 9 at 9 a.m.
