Junior Mark Shkrebtan (Redmond, Wash.) earned victories in both singles and doubles, but they were not enough as the Seattle University men's tennis team fell to Air Force, 6-1, Sunday morning at the USAFA Indoor Tennis Courts.
In the number two doubles spot, Shkrebtan combined with Kevin Lynch (Colorado Springs, Colo.) to defeat Taylor Soster and Alex Grubbs, 8-6. He then went on to earn Seattle U's only point of the day with a straight-set victory over Soster in the number three singles position (7-5, 6-2).
Seattle University (1-2) will head south to Portland, Ore., for a neutral-site match against the University of Idaho next Saturday, Feb. 5, at 5 p.m.
