Montana State: Kovas was a member of the Bobcats tennis team for three years, receiving Academic All-Big Sky honors in both 2007 and 2008. He was a member of the squad that earned the NCAA Sportsmanship Award for the 2006-07 academic year. A member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, he received his bachelor's degree in accounting in the spring of 2010.
John Adams HS: The number one singles player and the team MVP for the Eagles all four years, Kovas finished third in the Indiana state singles tournament as a senior in 2005. He earned First Team All-Northern Indiana Conference honors in both his junior and senior seasons.
Personal: Born April 10, 1988, Kovas is the son of Daniel and Cheryl Kovas. He is pursuing his master of science degree in finance and plans to pursue a doctorate of philosophy in economics.
