The men’s swim team won eight events while the women’s squad picked up six victories as the two teams swept in an NCAA dual meet Saturday afternoon at the , with the men winning, 130-75, and the women picking up a 113-90 victory.

Bryson Chiu () led the way for the SeattleU men, picking up victories in the 200 individual medley (1:59.57) and the 100 backstroke (54.41). He also joined Chris Fulton (, ), Bryant Bevers ( Way, ), and Jeff Tibbals () for a victory in the 200 freestyle relay in 1:27.39.

also anchored the victorious 200 medley relay quartet, joining Eric Pedack (, ), Doug Djang (, ), and Jordan Anderson () in posting a time of 1:36.64. went on to win the 50 freestyle in 22.02 seconds, Pedack finished first in the 100 butterfly in 52.53 seconds, and Djang earned a victory in the 100 breaststroke in 57.88 seconds. James White () finished first in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 10:09.00.

On the women’s side, Hayley Cobb () won two events, finishing first in both the 200 individual medley (2:11.16) and the 100 butterfly, posting a season-best time of 59.67 seconds in that event. Elizabeth Hanohano (, ) won the 100 freestyle in 54.20 seconds and Tina Nguyen () touched the wall first in the 100 backstroke with a season-best time of 1:01.55.

Alexis Morehouse () led a SeattleU sweep in the 100 breaststroke, finishing first with a time of 1:06.62. Cobb finished second in 1:09.83, and Alexandra Carter () earned third place honors with a time of 1:10.73. Carter also joined Megan McPherson (Rancho , ), Megan Lavin (, ), and Kaci Dudley () in winning the 200 medley relay in 1:56.08.

will host next weekend in the final home meet of the 2008-09 season Saturday, Jan. 17, beginning at 1 p.m. at the . The teams will then prepare for the Pacific Collegiate Swim Conference Championships in , Feb. 18-21.
