Four players reached double figures in scoring and forced Notre Dame de Namur into 20 turnovers while committing only eight turnovers in a 67-52 victory Sunday evening in the fourth and final game of the Elgin Baylor Tip-Off Classic at the .
Chris Gweth (), named the MVP of the tournament, led all players with 16 points, hitting four three-pointers, plus he pulled down six rebounds and dished out three assists. Mike Boxley () was also named to the All-Tournament Team after scoring 12 points, grabbing three rebounds, and earning three steals.
Shaun Burl () set a new Elgin Baylor Classic single-game record with six steals to go along with ten points and three assists. Aaron Broussard ( Way, ) gave a solid 11 minutes off the bench, scoring ten points on 4-of-5 shooting from the field. Austen Powers (, ) contributed nine points and five rebounds, and Michael Wright () added four points and a game-high nine rebounds to the winning effort.

After Notre Dame de Namur hit back-to-back three-pointers to cut the Redhawk lead to six, Seattle University outscored the Argonauts, 15-5, over the final five minutes of the first half, punctuated by a Gweth three-pointer as time ran out before halftime.
The Redhawk lead grew to as much as 20 points (46-26) early in the second half before Notre Dame de Namur hit four three-pointers to cut its deficit to ten at 53-43 with 6:47 remaining. The constant defensive pressure by kept the margin in double digits as the Argonauts could get no closer and suffered their second loss in as many games.
Notre Dame de Namur (0-2) was led by All-Tournament selection Dan Bergeron, who finished with 13 points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Victor Lee earned 12 points and four rebounds, while Jeff Berridge hit three shots from behind the three-point line to score nine points, plus he pulled down a team-high seven rebounds.
Before the game, Saint Martin’s (3-2) also won its second game of the weekend, an 86-69 victory over (0-2). All-Tournament selection Jake Linton led all players with 21 points on 7-of-15 shooting from the field and 6-of-7 shooting from the free throw line, while fellow honoree Blake Poole earned his second double-double of the weekend with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Chris Sharp and Junior Russell each scored 13 points to lead the Wildcats, while All-Tournament honoree Andy Bocian, coming off a 24-point performance against , scored ten points and pulled down four rebounds in the contest.
