CORVALLIS, Ore. — Seattle University men's soccer fell 3-1 to Oregon State on Wednesday night at Paul Lorenz Field.
The Redhawks (3-3-1) trailed 1-0 at halftime after Oregon State scored in the 37th minute. Seattle U was dealt another setback late in the first half when Brayden Smith received a red card in the 41st minute, leaving the Redhawks with 10 players for the remainder of the match.
Oregon State doubled its advantage in the 65th minute, but Seattle U pulled one back in the 82nd minute.
Alex Notzka scored his sixth goal of the season, firing home a Seattle U attack assisted by Sahai Williams and Tommy Coughlin to cut the deficit to 2-1.

The Beavers answered just three minutes later to restore their two-goal advantage and close the scoring. Seattle U finished the match with nine players after Enrique Guerrero was sent off in the 83rd minute.
The Redhawks fall to 3-3-1 as their four-game unbeaten streak was snapped. Seattle U will open conference play on Saturday, Sept. 26, when it hosts Santa Clara at Championship Field.
