EL MACERO, Calif. - The Seattle University men's golf team completed its final tournament of the regular season this weekend, competing in the three-day El Macero Classic at El Macero, Calif., hosted by UC Davis.

Amongst a competetive field of 19 teams, the Redhawks showed well, coming back from 17th place at the end of the first round to end in sixth overall, with a team score of +26 over.

The Redhawks' success was largely thanks to Walker Lamb, who was Seattle U's best finisher, carding +4 over, 220 with seven birdies and an eagle. Lamb placed 16th individually, the fifth time he was the top Redhawk this season in a tournament.

Kevin Li and Ben Ragland were also key contributors, both shooting +7 over, 223 and tying in 30th place. Ragland had 10 birdies across all 54 holes, and Li racked up nine. This is Ragland's top finish of the season.

Rounding out the team, Will Koch came in 61st with +13 over, 229, and Conrad Chisman placed 76th shooting +15 over, 231.

"We got off to an unfortunate start this week, but our guys once again battled until the end and improved every single day," said head coach Marc Chandonnet. "The golf course, combined with some incredibly difficult weather conditions, really made this week difficult. We are happy with our finish and are trending in a positive direction with post season ahead."

The Redhawks will next take action at the West Coast Conference Championships, hosted at the Green Valley Country Club in Fairfield, Calif. from May 1-3.
