SEATTLE – Having wrapped up a season-opening, four-game homestand with a 3-1 record, Seattle University men’s basketball heads out on the road for its next three games, beginning Friday, Nov. 21 at ACC member Stanford (4-0). The Redhawks and Cardinal will tip off from Maples Pavilion in Stanford, Calif., at 7 p.m. on ACCNX.

- Seattle U clinched back-to-back wins at home last week, toppling Eastern Washington, 94-67, and Idaho State, 83-74.
- The Redhawks had another stellar shooting night, hitting at a 62% clip (31-50) against the Bengals, including 11-20 from three.
- In game-by-game stats that date back through the 2001-02 season, this marks the first back-to-back outings shooting over 60% from the field.
- Brayden Maldonado notched his third 20-point game of the season, finishing with a team-high 22 points to go with six assists, two rebounds and one steal.

ABOUT THE SERIES VS STANFORD
- This marks just the seventh all-time meeting between Seattle U and Stanford.
- The teams last met on Nov. 6, 2018 at Maples Pavilion. The Cardinal used a big second half to break open a four-point halftime spread and win 96-74.
- In that game, Seattle U was paced by Terrell Brown, Jr., who had 16 points. Matej Kavas and Anand Hundal had 13 points each while Morgan Means chipped in 11.
- The teams have had three additional meetings in Seattle U’s modern DI era.
- Previous to those meetings in 2011 and 2012, the teams had met just twice before – during the 1984-85 and 1985-86 seasons.

- The Redhawks lead the league in team FG% (54.1%) and rank second in team 3PT FG% (43.2%) and team blocks per game (5.0).
- Brayden Maldonado leads the WCC in points per game (23.3), FG% (62.7%), 3PT FG% (58.3%) and FT% (100.0). He also ranks second in 3PT FGs per game (3.5).
- Will Heimbrodt ranks second in the WCC in FG% (62.5%) and blocks per game (3.0).
- Maleek Arington ranks second in steals per game (2.3).

SEATTLE STORYLINES
- The Redhawks shot at a blistering 64.5% clip (37-57 FGs) on Nov. 12 versus Eastern Washington, marking their highest field-goal percentage since hitting at a 68.4% clip (39-57 FGs) on Jan. 24, 2009 in a 99-82 win over SIU-Edwardsville.
- 2025-26 marks the Redhawks’ return the West Coast Conference. Seattle U was a one time member of the then West Coast Athletic Conference from 1971-1980, before dropping from NCAA Division I. The university was accepted into the West Coast Conference on May 10, 2024 and began its return to competition in the WCC in fall 2025.
- Seattle U has three international players hailing from Asia Pacific countries, including senior Junseok Yeo (South Korea), sophomore Houran Dan (China) and redshirt-freshman Yuto Kawashima (Japan).
- Based on roster data provided to the NCAA by member institutions, Yeo is the lone player from Korea on a Division I roster, Dan is one of just five players from China on a DI roster and Kawashima is one of seven players from Japan on a DI roster.
- Seattle U hosts all four other Division I programs in the state of Washington during the 2025-26 season. The Redhawks beat Eastern Washington, 94-67, on Nov. 12. They also host Washington on Dec. 19, Washington State on Dec. 30 and Gonzaga on Jan. 17.
- John Christofilis has poured in 117 threes in two-plus seasons at SU, putting him in striking distance of entering the SU all-time top-10 list this year. Sitting tied for 10th are Mack Junior (95-99) and Arne Klubberud (95-99), each with 144 career threes.
- Maleek Arington enters Saturday’s match-up against Cal Poly with 828 career points and will eye becoming a third member of the 2025-26 squad to surpass 1,000 career points. He would join Jojo Murphy (1,403 career points) and Brayden Maldonado (1,105 career points).

Seattle U continues a three-game road trip for a pair of games in Las Vegas at the Resorts World Classic on Nov. 28 and 29. The Redhawks open tournament play on Friday at 11 a.m. against Texas State.
