Strong Team Effort Results in Second Place Finish at Diamante Intercollegiate
HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE, Ark. - Seattle University women's golf rounded out its fall schedule with a statement finish. Every scoring athlete finished within the top 15, propelling the Redhawks to a second place finish in their first-ever appearance at the Diamante Intercollegiate.
"I am very proud of the girls and the way they competed," said head coach Marc Chandonnet. "We improved every day on a course we didn't get a practice round on due to poor weather conditions. We have a lot of things we can do to clean up mistakes, which is encouraging considering the early success we are having to start the year."
Tsara Ralamboarison finished in the top five for a third consecutive tournament, her score of -6 under 210 (70, 75, 65) earning her a fifth place individual finish, with 15 birdies over three rounds. Her eight birdies in the third round brought her to a career-low tying -7 under, tied for the best individual round by a golfer at the tournament.
Zoe Rubichon had the best finish yet of her freshman season, finishing under par for the first time of her collegiate career. Her -2 under 214 (73, 69, 72) performance, complete with 10 birdies and an eagle, led to her first-ever top 10 finish, tying for eighth with fellow freshman Blayne Brown.
Brown also had the best tournament of her young collegiate career, having never finished better than 16th overall and never under par. Carding -2 under 214 (72, 72, 70) brought her to her first-ever top 10 finish, with 11 birdies and an eagle.
In her first team competition of the year, sophomore Melissa Gilloz also made her mark with a career best finish, shooting even par 216 (76, 69, 71) to finish in 14th place.
Aaryanna Morris shot +14 over 230, finishing in 84th place.
The Redhawks will make their spring debut at the Thunderbird Collegiate, hosted by the University of Arizona in Tuczon, Ariz., Feb 9-10, 2026.
