STANFORD & SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – It was a successful trip to the Bay Area for the Seattle University Redhawks, who split the team between the Mike Fanelli Track Classic and the Stanford Invitational. The Redhawks set nine new all-time top-ten times, including six on the second day of competition alone.

On day one, Lilianne Hargreaves and McKenna White both had new top-ten times in the 1500m. Hargreaves improved on her own personal best, already second in SU history, by .50 seconds with a 4:29.48. She is behind only Sophie Curatilo's 4:28.60 from 2015 in that event. White ran a 4:36.91, putting her ninth in SU history in the 1500m, just behind Ellie Postma.

Dan Barreto also moved into the record books in the 3000m Steeplechase with a time of 9:59.21. That was good for ninth in SU history. Barreto joins Gus Harquail, Eli Boudouris, Hezekiah Goodwin, Michael Van Nuland, Kelton Sears, Nathan McLaughlin, Ansel Pendley-Griffin, and Dain Engebretsen as the only Redhawks ever to break the ten-minute mark in the steeplechase.

In addition to the new record book entries, the Redhawks had three new personal bests in the 1500m. Lance Mason set a new personal best by .01 seconds with a 3:58.74, just improving on his previous personal best of 3:58.75. Jeremy Posdon shaved two seconds off his personal best with a 4:01.69. Diana Camargo Solis ran a 4:48.06, a full five seconds faster than her previous personal best. Aidan Loeffelman and Lydia Dale also won their heats in the 1500m.

Day two saw Hargreaves, Annabelle Clapp, Osaze Williams, and Alex Jensen each move into the 800m record books. Already the owner of SU's seventh-fastest 800m ever, Hargreaves improved on her personal best by 0.67 seconds with a 2:14.29. Clapp ran the ninth-fastest 800m in Redhawks history with a 2:15.11, just 0.01 seconds behind Rachael Johnson for eighth.

Williams ran the second-fastest 800m in school history at 1:51.76, joining teammate Seku Sanders as the only Redhawks ever to break 1:52.00. Jensen ran a 1:52.80, good for fifth all-time and just 0.17 seconds behind Ansel Pendley Griffin's fourth-place mark. Clapp and Jensen won their 800m heats.

In the hammer throw, Rachel Albright passed Melissa Oeser's 2014 throw for seventh in SU history. Albright had a 35.87m throw.

The team of Matthew Fiso, Jensen, JR Zamora, and Williams also entered the record books in the 4x400 relay. That team ran a 3:21.80, the seventh-fastest time in SU history and fastest since 2023.

Seattle U will compete in the Bryan Clay Invitational and Lewis & Clark Invitational next. The Bryan Clay Invitational begins April 16 and will run three days in Azusa, California. The Lewis & Clark Invitational will be in Portland and begins April 18.
