SEATTLE - The Seattle University Redhawks recorded six new top-ten entries as well as numerous new personal bests at the Washington Preview. Rachel Albright, Diana Camargo Solis, Livii Fetterley, McKenna White, JR Zamora, and Matthew Fiso all recorded new entries in the top ten lists for the Redhawks across three different events. Fetterley, Zamora, and Fiso each recorded the second-best entries in SU history, in the 200m, long jump, and triple jump, respectively.
Fetterley finished with the second-fastest 200m time in Seattle University history. Her 25.06 time was .18 seconds off the school record, set by Tricht Jocelyn in 2022 with a 24.88.
Albright had a 11.10m weight throw, good for the sixth-best distance in Seattle University history, just behind Renate Wescott's 11.40m throw in 2012. Camargo Solis ran a 10:01.64 in the 3000m, also the sixth-best time in SU history in that event. Camargo Solis' time was just five-tenths of a second behind Moira O'Connor Lenth's 10:01.13 from 2017. McKenna White also entered the 3000m top-ten with her time of 10:05.99, making her the fourth active Redhawk with a top-ten program time in the 3000m, alongside Lilianne Hargreaves and Azalea Groleau, who are first and second in SU history. White's time is seventh all-time.
Fiso jumped 13.69m in his first collegiate triple jump, in addition to running a 7.16 in the 60m. Fiso's triple jump distance is second only to Nick Bever in SU history: Bever jumped a 13.82m in 2014. In addition to his impressive jump, Fiso's 7.16 in the 60m matched JR Zamora for the best SU time on the day. The 7.16 time for Zamora was a personal best.
Zamora posted a new top-ten in the long jump for the Redhawks as well. His 6.66m bested his previous career high by .11m and was just .01m from the school record. That record was set by Jamaari Jefferson last season.
Parker Wagnild added on to the impressive day for the Redhawks. The junior ran a 9:03.02 in the 3000m, setting a new personal best by over three full seconds.
The Redhawks are back in action tomorrow for Mile City, with 20 different athletes set to run the mile. The first heats tomorrow begin at 10:30 am at Washington's Dempsey Indoor Facility. Admission is free for all fans.
