SEATTLE - Seattle U volleyball has signed transfer Taniyah Pruitt from Charlotte, Head Coach Dan Behnke announced on Tuesday.
"We are excited to have Taniyah join us this fall," said Behnke. "She's a strong blocker and has become more dynamic off one foot."
The native of Fayetteville, North Carolina, spent last season at UNC Charlotte, competing in four matches. The middle blocker previously spent four years at South View High School in Hope Mills, North Carolina, earning First Team All-Conference after the 2023 season. Pruitt spent her time with NC Academy (2019-2023) on the club circuit.
Pruitt's sister, Alayna, also currently plays collegiate volleyball at Wiston-Salem State University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Pruitt plans to major in Political Science while at Seattle U.
Pruitt joins Anae Asuncion, Ivy Brown, Avery Fearnley, Nia Johnson, Grace Jones and Brooklyn Stearns as the seventh member of SU's 2024 class.
