Swim Concludes Day Three of WAC Championships

PHARR, TX - Seattle U men's and women's swimming wrapped up day three of the WAC Swimming/Dive Championships, Friday in Texas. The Redhawks continued their hot streak of breaking and setting school records in their third day in the pool.

PHARR, TX - Seattle U men's and women's swimming wrapped up day three of the WAC Swimming/Dive Championships, Friday in Texas. The Redhawks continued their hot streak of breaking and setting school records in their third day in the pool. 

"Great finals session for us tonight," said coach Joe Dykstra. "The men are now 4-for-4 on relay school records, Lydia Genson broke the 100 back school record, and Danielis Kvederis lowered his school record in the 100 back and achieved the NCAA consideration standard. Excited for one more day!"

The men's 400 relay team of Kvederis, Jaxon Gonzales, Cole Lanting, and Nicholas Imig finished with a time of 3:15.81, taking over first in school history. Genson finished with a time of 56.51 to set the school record in the 100 back while Kvederis's time of 47.42 continued to separate himself from the pack atop the men's record. 

Brendan Ryan in the 100 breast, Keanu Lee in the 400 IM, and Lanting in the 100 fly also all moved into or improved their positioning inside of the top-10 in school history. The women's 400 medley relay team of Genson, Sarah Cook, Sammy Mosier, and Amanda Miller moved into 2nd all-time in school history with their 3:46.83 finish. 

The WAC championships will wrap up tomorrow in Pharr, Texas. The final day is scheduled to start at 8:30am PT and will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
