DENVER, Colo. - Seattle U men's and women's swimming wrapped up their 2-day trip through Colorado, competing in a Sprint Eliminator at the University of Denver on Saturday.

"Really proud of the effort today," said head coach Joe Dykstra. "The women went faster in the medley relay than they have all season, the men's relays continued to impress, and we saw more season bests and lifetime bests."

Danielis Kvederis finished first in the 50 Backstroke with a time of 22.24. Sammy Mosier finished fourth in the 50 Fly (25.75) and fourth in the 50 Free (23.92).

The relay team of Nicholas Imig, Kvederis, Hawkins Wendt, and Cole Lanting finished second in the 200 Free Relay with a time of 1:22.42.

"Watching some of our sprinters advance through all 3 rounds of the skins elimination was exciting, especially Sammy Mosier and Cole Lanting who advanced all the way through in both fly and free," Dykstra added. "Danielis's win in the 50 back in a 22 low was awesome, especially since he kept getting faster through the rounds!"

The Redhawks will now turn focus to the WAC Championships starting Feburary 22 in Pharr, Texas.
