TACOMA, Wash. – Seattle U women's golf looks forward to hosting the ninth annual Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational, starting Monday in Tacoma, Wash. The two-day event is scheduled to take place at Tacoma Country and Golf Club on the 6,087 yards course with a par of 72. Both days will begin with shogun starts at 8 a.m.
"We are beyond excited to host such a large field at Tacoma Country Club this year," said Head Coach Marc Chandonnet. "It should be a very competitive week with a lot of great teams joining us. Our players really stepped up last week at the Gonzaga event as we were without a former champion of this event in Rivekka. They have been playing some great golf as of late and Michelle and I know this group is ready to compete."
The Redhawks will be competing against golfers from Cal State Bakersfield, Cal State Fullerton, Eastern Washington, Fresno State, Gonzaga, Grand Canyon, Hawaii, Houston Christian, Idaho, Montana State, Nevada, North Dakota, Portland State, Santa Clara, Sacred Heart, South Dakota, UC Irvine, UC Riverside, Weber State and Wyoming. Seattle U's team lineup will be announced at a later date with all nine Redhawks expected to compete.
Seattle U won this event with a tournament sweep in 2021. The then freshman duo of Rivekka Jumagulova and Shayna Lu both finished in the top-10 with Jumagulova taking medalist honors.
