2023 Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational

Pat Lesser Harbottle:

One of the greatest female golfers to ever come out of the Pacific Northwest, Pat Lesser Harbottle was the first female to play on a collegiate men's golf team, changing the landscape of women's collegiate golf. She is the only player ever to win the US Juniors, National Collegiate and US Amateur championships and first to hold The National Amateur, Western Amateur, Doherty Cup and South Atlantic titles in the same year. The 1955 U.S. Women Amateur Champion, Lesser Harbottle has been inducted into the State of Washington Sports, Pacific Northwest Golf, PNGA and Seattle University Hall of Fame.

Tournament Background:

The Seattle U women’s golf program will host the ninth annual Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational from October 2-3. The event has taken place at Tacoma Country and Golf Club in Tacoma, Wash., since its inaugural tournament. 

The tournament has featured five different team champions in its history with Washington taking the team title three times and Gonzaga winning the most recent tournament.

The tournament’s 54-hole all-time low score was set in 2019 when Gonzaga shot four-under par, while Gonzaga's Quynn Duong posted the individual 54-hole all-time low that same year at seven-under.
