COACH COLE'S THOUGHTS

"We could tell from the get go that the more disciplined team was going to take this match," said Head Coach Michelle Cole. "Nevada does a great job of focusing on ball placement and using multiple ways to attack. We focused on staying on our feet and running balls down, which we struggled to do at first but we showed a lot of resilience in the way we were able to bounce back. What I really appreciate about this group is that they are willing to grow and learn together during the match instead of waiting for this one to finish and focus on winning the next one. We always talk about how we have big goals and that they'll take time and we need to be patience. Arianna came up big us offensively, mixing up her shot selection throughout. Elif set another strong match for us, making some great choices. I am incredibly proud of how we performed today and am excited for the next one."
