CHENEY, Wash. - Seattle U volleyball came up short in two contests to begin play at the Eastern Washington Tournament, falling to Eastern Washington in four set to start the day and later dropping a matchup with Pacific in straight sets. Both matches were played at Reese Court on the campus of Eastern Washington in Cheney, Washington.
"We played some good volleyball today and just struggled to get the final kill or have the ball bounce our way," said Head Coach Michelle Cole. "We were unable to close out some good sets but made some great strides. Elif set a few great matches for us and made some good choices on offense. I felt like we were relying a little too much on our outsides and would love to be able to get our middles more involuted. We will be looking to find ways to get back on balance when we take on Nevada tomorrow."
