SENIOR DAY
Saturday's weekend finale will mark the final home game for seven seniors: Jocelynn De La Cruz, Taylor DeDen, Izzy Dino, Madison Kahwaty, Mekenzie Madokoro, Brooke Milder and Olivia Viggiano. Four of the members were apart of the 2021 Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Tournament Championship team, while the group of seven has made a combined 712 appearances with 575 of them being starts. They were all members of the team that broke the single game hits (25) and runs (16) record last season, while Madison Kahwaty and Olivia Viggiano hold the single game doubles and triples record, respectively. The list of awards this group combines for are one NFCA All-Region Third Team, two All-WAC Second Team members, three WAC All-Tournament Team members, two WAC All-Defensive Team members, three Preseason All-WAC members, two WAC Hitters of the Week and 10 WAC All-Academic Team members.

RECORD SETTER
Graduate student Olivia Viggiano put her name in the record books once more, breaking the all-time hits record against Southern Utah in the second game of a doubleheader on Friday, April 14. Viggiano lead off the game with a single through the left side of the infield to mark 236 all-time career hits. The native of Mission Viejo, California, already broke the all-time career triples and at bats record earlier in the season and claimed the all-time runs scored record last year. The outfielder is currently just five stolen bases away from tying the current all-time career stolen bases record at 56 and needs just eight more starts to break the all-time starts and games played record.

FINDING THEIR SWING
Redshirt freshman Katie Walling did some serious damage against Grand Canyon over the weekend, hitting five-for-10 with one double, one home run and five RBIs in three games. Walling tied the contest with one swing in the second game on Friday night, smashing a moon shot to left field for a two-run home run. The native of San Diego, California, continued that strong swing into the game on Saturday, finishing three-for-four with a double and two RBIs, marking the most hits a single game for her career.
