SEATTLE, Wash. - Seattle U women's tennis opened their home stretch against UTRGV. The match was extremely competitive, but the Redhawks would unfortunately drop the match in a team score of 4-3.
DOUBLES:
- Mireia Fehr and Lola Tavcar faced off against Lea Karren and Barbara Martinez, but would be defeated 2-6
- Elena Kraleva and Liliya Dimova were on point for their match against Isabelle Bahr and Marjorie Souza, as they dominatly won the match 6-2 to tie doubles at 1-1
- Jade Quintana and Shuanghui Huang fought hard against Daniela Rosenberger and Stefanie Wilske, but would unfortunately dropped the match 5-7, and UTRGV would claim the doubles point
SINGLES:
- Marijia Elenova faced off against Marjorie Souza, but would be defeated 2-6, 1-6
- Liliya Dimova picked up a solid victory against Isabelle Bahr, taking the win 6-4, 6-0
- Mireia Fehr and Daniela Rosenberger had a back and forth match that went to a third set, with Fehr taking the win 5-7, 6-1, 6-0
- Lola Tavcar and Barbara Martinez also had a tight match that went to a tie breaker, but Tavcar would drop the match 1-6, 6-4, 4-6
- Jade Quintana and Stefanie Wilske would be the third match of a day to go to a tiebreaker, but Quintana would come up just short, losing the match 7-5, 3-6, 2-6
- Elena Kraleva and Lea Karren would be the last match of the day, and Kraleva would pick up a strong win 6-3, 6-2
The Redhawks will play at home again on April 2 when they take on UT Arlington
