COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Seattle U men and women's swim completed their first meet in Colorado Springs, as they raced against Air Force, BYU, Colorado Mesa, and Colorado State. After traveling all day and competing at over 7000 ft of elevation, both teams came away with solid performances.

"I'm very proud of the team today." said Head Coach Joe Dykstra "It is not easy to travel all day, come up 7000 feet in elevation, and immediately race. Their toughness was really on display with some of our racing, and I think we can be even better tomorrow"

On the women's side, Sarah Cook had a strong showing on the day. In the 200 IM, Cook clocked in a time of 2:08.03, to place third overall. Additionally, Cook competed in the 200 Back, and placed second in the event, finishing the race in 2:23.12. Sammy Mosier also stayed competitive in the 50 Free. Mosier finished the 50 Free in 24.29 to place sixth overall.

For the men, Nicholas Imig led the way. In the 50 Free, the school record holder clocked in a time of 20.69, to place third overall in the meet. Cole Lanting continued his impressive season, as he would place sixth in the 100 Free, finishing in a time of 47.41.
