SEATTLE - Seattle U men's golf has signed Jakob Balkovec to its 2022 class, Head Coach Marc Chandonnet announced Monday.
"I enjoyed my conversations with Jakob immediately," said Head Coach Marc Chandonnet. "He is a fantastic young man with a great support system that is committed to academics and golf. As a member of the national team, he already has experience competing as a team member and proven throughout his young career that he knows how to win."
Balkovec joins Seattle U with numerous achievements already under his belt. A 2019-2021 National Champion, the Kranj, Slovenia, native has represented the national team from 2018-2021 at the European Championships. Balkovec won the 2018 Trnovo Masters and the 2019 Hungarian Amateur open as well as posting top three finishes at the 2019 Slovak Junior and 2020 Slovenian International Junior Open.
Balkovec joins Burly Hildreth and Ben Ragland on Seattle U's 2022 class.
