NEW YEAR, NEW U
Seattle U's 2022 roster features 13 new athletes, led by transfers Arianna Bilby and Shanice Horn. Bilby joins after spending two years at Bellevue College, earning a Second Team All-American and All-Tournament award as well as leading the NWAC in points scored last season. Horn transfers from Butler where she tallied 307 kills, 102 digs and 59 blocks over two seasons.

SOPHOMORE SENSATION
Katlyn Sipes will look to build off an impressive freshman season, leading the team in digs, marking the first freshman to do so since Tijana Milojevic in 2017. The native of Montgomery, ill., recorded two single game performances of 26 digs, becoming the first freshman since Milojevic to register 25+ in a match and finish the season with multiple matches of 25+. Sipes' 26 dig performance against Chicago State (11/6/21) was the second-most ever by a Redhawk in a three-set match: only Shelly Anderson has had more, recording 32 in 2008 against SIUE.

MILESTONES TO WATCH
Seniors Lauren McCabe and Ezgi Ozkan will look to climb up the all-time leaderboards this season. McCabe currently ranks fifth in solo blocks (25) and is 27 total blocks away from cracking that top-10 list. Ozkan ranks fourth all-time in assists (1,514) and has a chance to become the fourth Redhawk ever to register 2,000 career assists.
