RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. – Seattle U women's rowing competed in four events at the 2022 Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association (WIRA) Championships Friday and Saturday on Lake Natoma, taking three fourth-place finals finishes and one fifth place finish.

The Redhawks' varsity 8+ boat placed fourth in its Friday heat, then took fourth again in its finals race the following day, finishing in 7:06.372. The varsity 4+ boat found similar result, placing fourth in its Friday heat and fourth again in its Saturday finals race, finishing in 8:44.451.

The novice 4+ took second in its heat, finishing just behind Oregon and earning a place in Saturday's grand finals, where it placed fifth in 8:28.165. Seattle U's second varsity 8+ rounded out the competition, placing fourth in its final race in 7:38.53.

Seattle U closes out the 2021-22 season on Saturday, May 7 at the Windermere Cup, hosted by the University of Washington on Lake Washington in Seattle.
