CORVALLIS, Ore. - Seattle U track and field competed in its final regular season meet of the 2022 outdoor season at the OSU High Performance Meet in Corvallis, Ore., at the Whyte Track & Field Center. Senior Tricht Jocelyn, junior Lucas Milne and sophomore Gus Harquail all set school records over the two day meet. Overall, the Redhawks set another four top-ten marks and 17 personal records (PR).
Jocelyn sets the school record in the 100m for the second time this season with a time of 11.88, finishing second overall. The Fort Myers, Florida, native becomes the first women to ever run a sub 12 second time at Seattle U and breaks her seventh school record of the year.
Milne breaks the school record in the 110m hurdles for the second consecutive weekend and third overall time this year, placing second overall with a time of 15.27. Today's time is .06 faster than the previous record he set at the Oregon Relays. The Kailua, Hawaii, native has now broken five school records this season with his other two coming during the indoor season (60m hurdles and heptathlon).
Harquail sets the school record in the 3000m steeplechase in just his second time ever competing in the event. The Portland, Ore., native would finish second overall with a time of 9:02.99 which is about an 18 second improvement on his previous PR and beats the school record set by Eli Boudouris almost exactly four years ago by about three seconds.
In the 100m, junior Isaiah Payne earned second overall with a time of 10.79, while junior Ellie Postma earned a fifth place overall finish in the 1500m open with a time of 4:40.12 which was about four seconds off her PR.
Also on the track, the men's 4x100m relay team of Noah Payne, Tom Topinka, Brant Yamamoto and Isaiah Payne claimed first place overall with a time 42.52. Freshman Taylor Marks set a new PR in the 400m with a time of 57.85, taking third place overall out of 22 runners.
