SEATTLE - After falling behind in the top of the eighth, Seattle U baseball used a rally in the bottom half to pickup the win over Utah Valley, 5-4, Friday afternoon at Bannerwood Park.

The theme of getting out to quick starts continued for the Redhawks when they put up three runs in the first two innings. After an RBI double by Shane Jamison brought in Gavin Rork, he would come around and scored after a wild pitch by Utah Valley in the first. Aidan Welch would tack on another tally when he also scored on an error in the second inning.

In his ninth start of the season, Peter Chronowski had a solid outing on the mound. He would go 7 and 2/3 innings, while giving up six hits and four runs, also striking out six.

The Wolverines would score four unanswered runs in the ballgame, capped off by a 2-run top of the eighth inning to take the lead at 4-3.

Julian Kodama would walk to start the bottom half of the frame and that was followed by a double by Welch, to put runners at second and third. Connor O'Brien would then come in the pinch hit for the Redhawks. He proceeded to hit a ball down the left field line that scored both Kodama and Welch, as Seattle U reclaimed the lead.

Gabe Smith would come in to the game and pickup the final four outs, as he secured his first win of the season and the Redhawks got the 5-4 comeback.

Game three of the series between the Redhawks and Wolverines is scheduled for tomorrow, April 9 at Bannerwood Park. Weather permitting, the game is set for a 2:00 PM first pitch with Nestor German scheduled to make the start for the Redhawks.
