PHOENIX, Ariz. - Seattle U women's tennis concluded the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) regular season on Friday against New Mexico State in a neutral site matchup at the GCU Tennis Facility in Phoenix, Arizona. Singles victories from freshman Liliya Dimova and Mireia Fehr were not enough as the Aggies prevailed, 4-3.

Seattle U opened the match by claiming the doubles point. After Senior Aranza Alvarez Sanabria and freshman Jade Quintana (1-6) dropped their match against Miranda Bishard and Bella Nguyen, the Redhawks claimed the remaining two matches. Junior Jade Lancaster and Fehr (7-5) won their second straight pairing as a duo over Natsuki Nishimura and Gavi Kalaga, while Dimova and freshman Elena Kraleva (7-6) finished WAC play 4-0 as a pairing after defeating Chloe Gavino and Lisa Zhu via tiebreaker.

In singles play, Lancaster (0-6, 2-6) would fall to Bishard, while Quintana (1-6, 1-6) battled against Nishimura and senior Hannah Grossman (1-6, 3-6) faced off against Kalaga. Dimova (6-3, 6-0) dominated her matchup against Zhu, while Fehr (0-6, 6-0, 7-5) tied the dual match at three after defeating Gavino on court one via tiebreaker. Alvarez Sanabria was unable to give the Redhawks the dual match victory, falling to Nguyen, 0-6, 6-4, 3-6, in a hard fought match on court five.

Seattle U will head to the WAC Tournament on Apr. 22, with its first round matchup to be determined after Saturday's matches.
