GAME ONE

The Redhawk offense burst to life late, putting 14 runners on base in the final three innings to turn a 1-0 deficit into a 7-3 win. Garcia came through with a big two-run double in the fifth that erased a one-run deficit and put the Redhawks up for good.

Taylor DeDen had two hits and two RBI for the Redhawks as well. Viggiano and Wilson went a combined 5-for-8 atop the order. Stefanie Madrigal picked up her first career hit and first career RBI in her first-ever start at first base.

Grace Luderer was nearly unhittable once again: the freshman allowed only three hits all game long, retiring ten in a row at one point. The first batter of the game singled off Luderer: the only other hits allowed came in the seventh inning, with the Redhawks leading comfortably.
