ELKHART, Ind. – The Seattle U Redhawks finished the National Invitational Championships with nine more swims Saturday. The relay squad of Tyler Goodspeed, Will Corona, Andres Banuelos, and Cole Lanting swam a 3:04.42 in the 400 Free Relay, finishing just out of points at 21st.
Goodspeed also swam the 100 IM, earning a time of 52.32. Banuelos had a 55.83 in that event, while Sammy Mosier represented the women's side with a 59.80 in the 100 IM.
Banuelos and Justin Kalugin swam the 1650 Free for the Redhawks. Banuelos had a 16:31.21 in that event and Kalugin a 16:16.78.
Individually, Corona swam the 200 Back, earning a time of 1:53.08. Jack Neton also had another individual swim, in the 200 Breast, putting up a time of 2:05.29. Lanting swam a 45.44 in the 100 Free individually.
In all this weekend, the Redhawks twice earned points, in both the 800 Free Relay and the 200 IM. Corona earned points individually in the 200 IM on Thursday, with the team of Banuelos, Lanting, Kalugin, and Corona earning points in the 800 Free Relay.
