HOUSTON, Texas – The WAC Championships concluded with another 13 new all-time top-ten times for the Seattle U Redhawks. That included new top-ten times in both the men's and women's 400 Free Relay. The Redhawks made it a grand total of 40 new entries to the all-time top-ten times list on the weekend.
The Redhawks put four new times in the top ten in the 1650 Free alone. Michael Luna and Michaela Day each put up the second-fastest 1650 Free times in Seattle U history, with Luna swimming a 15:52.14 and Day a 17:19.91. Cassie Koester had the fifth-fastest time ever with a 17:22.55 and Manna Nelson the sixth-fastest with a 17:32.38.
Cole Lanting and Nicholas Imig moved up the all-time lists in the 100 Free, as did Sammy Mosier on the women's side. Lanting swam a 45.17 that was the third-fastest in Redhawk history and Imig a 46.39, good for seventh-fastest. Mosier's 51.93 was the seventh-fastest in Redhawk history as well.
Lanting and Imig joined Will Corona and Connor Barringer in swimming a 3:01.57 in the 400 Free Relay, the sixth-fastest time in Seattle U history. The women's team of Mosier, Allison Plamondon, Lydia Genson, and Maggie Robben had the fourth-fastest time ever with their 3:28.01.
Genson and Corona individually worked into the top ten in the 200 Back. Corona swam a 1:50.14, the sixth-fastest in Seattle U history, and Genson a 2:05.67, the seventh-fastest.
Jaxon Gonzales had the eighth-fastest 200 Breast time in school history with his 2:03.56 in the finals. Ryan Ascencio swam the ninth-fastest 200 Fly time in Redhawk history with a 1:51.55.
